Where to go Cycling……………………………………..

On road

There is a series of long and short marked cycle trails on minor roads from Lampeter and Tregaron passing through Cwmann and Cellan (our nearest villages – bottom of the hill)– a leaflet and map is available from the Tourist Information Centre in Aberaeron, and signs can be seen at main road junctions.

There is an excellent marked cycle trail the Rheidol Trail which follows the beautiful Vale of Rheidol from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge – see our leaflets folder, or get a copy from the TIC.

Off road - level trails

The Aberaeron to Llanerchaeron trail follows the old Lampeter to Aberaeron branch railway track through the beautiful Aeron Valley from the harbour town to the interesting National Trust house and gardens – see our walks folder or pick up a leaflet from the TIC.

The Cors Caron trail follows the old Lampeter to Aberystwyth railway track across the famous Cors Caron “Red Bog” nature reserve. See our walks folder or pick up a leaflet from the TIC.

Off road – hilly

The Iron Age Hillforts trail is usable for off road cycling, and follows the ridge on the opposite side of the valley. See our walks folder or pick up a leaflet from the TIC.

Brechfa Forest to the southwest off the Carmarthen road has been opened up to offer some great off road cycle trails through Forestry Commission land. See our leaflets folder or pick up a leaflet from the TIC.
